SEA URCHIN FESTIVAL IN TAMARIU
A festive day to have a good time with colleagues and friends of the profession
Originally, in 1998, this feast was jointly promoted by the Cuina de l’Empordanet and Osona Cuina, as a chance for the two collectives to get together and share experiences and enjoy an entertaining day with friends.
Each year, between the last week in February and the first in March, a whole host of chefs are invited to the Barraca dels Lliris, a stone hut in Tamariu, to have a good time with workmates and friends of the profession enjoying the star product: sea urchins. As well as a good rice dish, cava, music and so on.
